Update: Our Partnership with Saint-Gobain
Today, we at The Bailey Group of Companies (Bailey Metal Products, Bailey Metal Processing, and Agway Metals) begin the next chapter in our story, as we close our acquisition with Saint-Gobain North America.
The construction industry is demanding higher quality, faster construction and affordable materials. Fortunately, TotalJoist has a history in mid-rise construction projects that demonstrate that it is the perfect solution for builders and owners who want only the best.
Our prefabricated cold-formed-steel joists, flooring and walls provides greater design flexibility and higher ratings for vibration and acoustic control to ensure your units will be sought after by today’s demanding owners or renters.
While our systems offer many advantages for building, our involvement with our customers goes well beyond the manufacture and supply of steel framing systems, with support from the first phone call through project completion.
We have worked along with TotalJoist on our buildings since 2011. With the more recent 5 and 6 storey mid-rise buildings permitted to be combustible, TotalJoist developed an improved non-combustible floor system to create a more complete, cost-effective building system. The coordination during design, together with its approved systems and non-shrinking construction is favourable to our designs. Its lightweight construction keeps a more affordable structure below, which is a major saving in condominiums.
Using our proprietary engineering solutions for multi-family residential buildings, TotalJoist offers steel joist and flooring systems that are unmatched in North America’s construction industry.
Steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio, reducing time-consuming heavy lifts.
TotalJoist’s residential construction team works with you at every step, from pricing to design to installation.
Most of the steel fabrication takes place in a quality-controlled facility, reducing weather dependency and onsite construction storage.
Steel resists warping, cracking, moisture and bugs, while offering a one-hour fire rating (UL, ULC Rated).
TotalJoist’s Composite TotalJoist uses concrete poured on dovetail-shaped steel decking to reduce noise and vibrations from tenants or condo owners.
Our proprietary joists come with stamped service holes for utilities to run through, reducing bulkheads and increasing living space.
